Jag Mandir

Jag Mandir’s construction began under Maharana Amar Singh and was completed by Maharana Jagat Singh I in the 17th century. This magnificent palace, often called the 'Jewel of Lake Pichola,' features eight life-sized stone elephants at its entrance, symbolizing royal hospitality. It gained historical significance as a refuge for Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1623 before he ascended the throne. The palace’s serene setting, combined with its detailed carvings and tranquil gardens, offers visitors a glimpse into Udaipur’s royal legacy. Today, it hosts events and dinners, blending history with modern luxury against the backdrop of Lake Pichola.
